History of Search Engine Optimization or SEO

The journey of SEO started when the Internet was created, and its use started to grow. However, using SEO or SEO algorithms differed from what it is today. As the popularity and use of the Internet continue to grow, it becomes very important to organize or categorize all websites. That’s when search engines started to develop, and web admins did it. They started doing a lot of research on search engine results, and thus, the journey of search engine optimization started.

Then in 1995, SEO first officially started its journey. Yahoo developers first started with alphabetic optimization. In just 1 year, i.e., in 1996, the popularity of SEO started. At that time, search engine algorithms were based on keyword density. Then sometime in 1997, Yahoo Webmaster submitted the website. Then sometime between 1998 and 1999, Google was born. Then Google Sump Google has to re-algorithm the rules by starting and for.

Algorithms are a type of programming through which search engines do all kinds of work. At this time, the algorithm is slightly updated. However, it takes about 2-3 years to start this sump rule of Google. With all these sample tactics, around 2000-2007, Google’s SEO experts used to submit rank-based websites to the search engine according to the category of SEO experts and did some directory-type link building. But the problem is that according to this rule, many hidden pages are created, and the keyword stuff is in them. To solve all these problems, the search engine Google brought Google crawler. Keyword stuffing decreased in SEO after crawler systems were added to search engines. This is how the journey of modern SEO started.

Since then, search engines have come to where they are today through various algorithm updates. Regarding competition, Google is currently the best and quality search engine.

Search Engine Basic

A search engine is an information tool. They insert/modify numerous contents from the Internet and, again, by evaluating various factors, find out which information is correct according to the user’s search and present it to the user. And the search engine works by crawling and indexing all the information available on the Internet (webpages, images, videos, PDFs, etc.). The information that is most useful to the user is ranked.

2 types of Search Engine Optimization

  • Organic Optimization
  • Paid Optimization

Organic Optimization

Search engine optimization is organic. It is done automatically, for which you do not need to spend any money. The links normally displayed on the search result page mean that Google does not highlight them with any special color; they are called organic links. This type of optimization is called Organic SEO. This is called Algorithmic SEO. If your site is well search engine optimized, it will get more visitors or more site traffic.

Paid Optimization

There is also paid search engine optimization. If you search on Google, you will sometimes see links of different colors on the right or above the search results. These are related to the keywords that have been searched. They are called paid links. That is, Google has to pay for this. This type of optimization is called Paid SEO.
